Leftover of pasta salad with mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts and dressing with basil pesto in it. :)  Everytime when I'm on vacation I try to cook at least once or twice because I don't have the time for it when I'm working. Now if I can't go to Italy this year, then at least I want food with an Italian touch. :) I'm off to lake Chiemsee tomorrow. I still need to pack. :-S |

It's been so hot and sticky the last few days including rain and thunderstorms. I really don't like summer this way. I'm longing for autumn, I really am. When I had my driving lesson yesterday it started thunderstorming. At least the air cooled down a bit which felt really good. All rooms in our flat are warmed up and as we are living right under the roof it's even worse. It's supposed to be raining again today. We actually wanted to go see an exhibition on old trams but today it's not the weather for it. :-/ Maybe we could still go see it tomorrow.. |

So we picked black currants for about half an hour until the thunderstorm struck. First it got dark from the northeast, it thundered and then big raindrops fell onto us. Downpour. We took the bowl of black currants we managed to pick and sheltered from the rain and eventually went inside. We stood at the window and watched the spectacle. There's the English expression "It's raining cats and dogs" for which we would say "Es regnet Bindfäden" and I must say, I like our German expression much better. Literally it says that it's raining strings as the drops look like strings. But we also have the expression "Es regnet junge Hunde", i.e. it's raining young dogs. But I never use this expression. Anyway, it rained Bindfäden yesterday. ;)

Today was my 3rd driving lesson and I think I'm getting a little bit better. At least with shifting gears but not with clutching, I mean letting go the clutch. I'm doing it a bit too fast and then sometimes I kill the engine. :] Today I had a lesson with the other driving instructor and he explains things a little bit better or more detailed which is good. We just drove around town and not on the main road so I didn't have to drive so fast which was also good. ;) |

 It's been raining for days. Last Saturday we had the most beautiful, really springlike weather (see picture above) and now.. I don't have words for it. At the moment it's not raining actually but there's no real sunshine either. |

We already got photobooths that can talk to you. How strange is our world? Either it's supposed to make you laugh so that you'll look good on those photographs or somebody is really serious about that and put a lot of effort into creating this machine. Oh my.. Are you ready? Attention! There you go! Flash. This really cheered us up yesterday evening. |
